The short version
- Atlas LUT does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or payment information.
- Your photos, videos, LUT files, file names, and edits are processed on your device and are never sent to us or to TelemetryDeck.
- The app sends limited usage analytics to TelemetryDeck. This includes product interaction events, basic app and device metadata, and a one-way hashed device identifier.
- Analytics are not linked to your identity, are not used for advertising, and are not used to track you across apps or websites.
- Analytics are enabled by default. You can stop future analytics at any time in the app by opening About and turning off Share anonymous usage analytics.
Photos, videos, and LUT files
Your photos and videos. When you choose a photo or video through Apple's system picker, Atlas LUT reads only the item you selected. The app processes it on your device to measure a look or render a preview. The selected media is not uploaded.
Saving to your photo library. If you choose to save a neutral file to Photos, the app requests add-only permission and writes that file. It does not read your wider photo library.
LUT files. LUTs you create or import are stored locally in the app. A LUT leaves the app only when you intentionally export or share it using Apple's system interface.
Anonymous usage analytics
We use TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, to understand which features are useful and where workflows fail. Apple classifies the information sent by this integration as Product Interaction and Device ID, used for the purpose of Analytics.
Analytics signals may contain:
- An event name, such as the app being launched, a tab being selected, or a LUT being generated, converted, mixed, or exported.
- Limited enumerated settings related to that event, such as LUT size, color space, export format, workflow origin, or whether an operation succeeded.
- App version, build number, operating-system version, device model and type, app language, locale or region, and whether the build came from TestFlight or the App Store.
- A device identifier converted to a one-way hash on the device before it is transmitted. Atlas LUT does not provide TelemetryDeck with an account ID, name, email address, or advertising identifier.
Analytics signals never contain your photos, videos, LUT contents, LUT names, file names, text you enter, or precise location. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses in its analytics database or logs. You can read more in TelemetryDeck's Privacy FAQ and TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy.
We do not link analytics to your identity and do not use the data for third-party advertising, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking. Disabling the analytics toggle stops the app and the TelemetryDeck SDK from sending future signals. It does not affect Atlas LUT's core features.
Settings stored on your device
Atlas LUT uses Apple's standard on-device storage to remember settings such as onboarding state and your analytics preference. These settings stay on your device. The app's privacy manifest declares this use of UserDefaults with Apple's required reason code.
Accounts, purchases, and advertising
The current release does not include account creation, advertising, or the Discover storefront. It does not use Apple's advertising identifier and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track you across apps or websites.
If a future release introduces accounts, purchases, cloud processing, or other data practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that release is made available.
Children
Atlas LUT is not directed specifically at children. The app does not request a person's name, contact details, or account information. The limited anonymous analytics described above apply in the same way to every installation.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
